Wimbledon Tennis Betting Odds, Predictions, Promotions & Tips
The main draw for Wimbledon 2024 will take place on June 28th, which will give an indication of the projected quarterfinalists once the seeded players🎃 are revealed. Betting before the main draw has been conducted should mean more generous odds on most of the Wimbledon 2024 contenders.
It is advisable to keep an eye on the qualifying rounds, which begin on June 24th, for any famous names who may have dropped down the world rankings but possess a strong record on grass. They may be a long shot with the bookies𝄹, but they could spring a surprise in the main draw.
The fast pace of grass𒀰 and the more uneven bounce add to the intrigue of this competition. Only certain players, mainly European, are able to adapt their game and tactics to the unique surface.
꧃ We have sourced statistics and results from recent Wimbledon tournaments, head-to-head matches between leading players, as well as their recent form, injuries, and grass court records to come up with our predictions.
Wimbledon 2024 Betting Odds
With a main draw for men and ladies, each comprising 128 players, unearthing the next Wimbledon champions requires some research and data evaluation. Unlike other tennis courts, grass provides a lower bounce of the ball, which destroys high-kicking topspin shots🌃. As the soft surface is tricky for many players to get used to, those whose game suits grass are most likely to clinch the Wimbledon title.
𒅌 The global interest in The Championships is phenomenal, with traditions like strict clothing for players and royal attendance on Centre Court outshining the other Grand Slams. In each match, there can be an unfair advantage from the passionate courtside fans, who usually pick a favourite to cheer on.
The current singles champions start their defence to get the ball rolling at SW19, and it is during the first week that seeded players tend to be toppled. The second week of this feast of tennis usually serves up more predictable results⛦, with the race on to grab the glory often between those familiar faces that have graced Centre Court.

Wimbledon 2024 Betting Predictions
⛄ Players with thumping serves, who possess rapid footwork around the court and can swiftly approach the net, are the ones who most benefit from competing on grass. Baseliners may be precise, but they can be bamboozled by irregular bounces on the surface.
Serbian star Novak Djokovic has dominated Wimbledon in recent years, winning six crowns in his past nine attempts. However, the veteran may miss out following a knee injury that occurred at the French Open. Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz🎃 won his maiden Wimbledon crown in 2023 to halt Djokovic’s remarkable run of four consecutive titles at SW19 since 2018.
As usual, the women’s draw will be wide open as to who triumphs. Over the past decade there have been six different winners. The last time the Wimbledon champions in the same year represented one country was when Pete Sampras and Venus Williams were both victorious in 2000.
ಞ We have scoured the latest betting odds for Wimbledon, with those on the WTA Tour and ATP Tour realising that they will need to be on top of their game to avoid any slip-ups. Being match fit, by playing pre-Wimbledon grass tournaments, is an important factor to have a shot at winning the top prize at SW19.
WTA Wimbledon Predictions 2024
The women’s draw is choc-a-bloc with potential champions. Two-time Grand Slam champion Aryna Sabalenka is slightly favoured over world no.1 and newly crowned French Open winner Iga Świątek, and these two dominate the WTA Tour.
﷽ Sabalenka plays an aggressive game to overpower opponents, which can lead to unforced errors. Yet, her formidable serve and thumping groundstrokes truly suit fast grass courts, and she could better her Wimbledon record of losing two semi-finals.
🌠 Baseliner Świątek could come unstuck on grass, as she is over reliant on her powerful topspin forehand, although she is delivering her fastest-ever serves on the circuit. It is essential that she introduces some volleying skills if she wants to win.
Elena Rybakina, the Wimbledon 2022 champion, and defending champ Marketa Vondrousova🍰, know how to succeed on grass. Rybakina boasts a a big serve and an all-conquering one-handed backhand that hits winners for fun. Left-hander Vondrousova is the only unseeded player in the Open era to win the ladies Wimbledon crown.
American hopefuls Coco Gauff — who shot to fame as a 15-year-old qualifier at Wimbledon, and wildcard entry Naomi Osaka🦩 could also be considered. Both have exceptional athleticism, an impressive Grand Slam record, as well as confidence and experience to thrive at Wimbledon 2024. Gauff has shot up to world no.2 having honed her net game and improved drop shots, which will be good weapons on grass.
Our Predicted Wimbledon 2024 Ladies Singles Winner: Iga Świątek (Poland)
ATP Wimbledon Predictions 2024
🧜 Only twice since 2000 has a non-European player won the men’s singles at Wimbledon. That trend is likely to continue, as there is no real threat to the usual suspects of the main contenders from Europe to triumph at SW19.
Former Wimbledon semi-finalist Hubert Hurkacz𒊎 is a serious talent, with his booming serve and guile around the court, and he could make it a Polish clean sweep at the All England Club with his compatriot Iga Świątek.
Novak Djokovic✱ may miss out on trying to nab an eighth Wimbledon title this season, having retired with a knee injury on the Roland-Garros clay in Paris. The 2024 Olympics will be more important to the Serb, so it is a waiting game on whether he will compete at Wimbledon.
Reigning champion Carlos Alcaraz😼, who defeated Djokovic in the final last year, was in a league of his own on grass last year, despite little experience on the surface. He was crowned the winner on the Queen’s Club grass in South Kensington before his amazing antics at Wimbledon 2023. Having just won the French Open, the seemingly unstoppable Spaniard will be vying to add another major to his ever-increasing collection of trophies, as long as he does not suffer any injuries.
Italian Jannik Sinner is another young gun who likes to shoot down the stars, and has the attacking prowess to go far at the All England Club; while Russian counterpuncher Daniil Medvedev is always a threat in the draw. Those with potent serves, which the Wimbledon favourites will wish to avoid facing, include American Christopher Eubanks, Chilean Nicolas Jarry, and Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas.
Our Predicted Wimbledon 2024 Men’s Singles Winner: Carlos Alcaraz (Spain)
Wimbledon 2024 Betting Promotions
With Wimbledon fever about to smash into the public domain, the sportsbooks are offering some ace betting promotions for The Championships.
bet10 provides some smashing tennis betting options, including free bets for Wimbledon, enhanced odds promos on tennis betting, and up to a whopping 50% bonus on Wimbledon ACCAs.
Wimbledon 2024 Betting Tips
❀ Betting on Wimbledon can serve up some excitement for punters who follow this feast of tennis over the two weeks. Here are our top tips for betting on the action from the All England Club.
Bet Online
Most online sportsbooks will offer a variety of extras for Wimbledon 2024, which could include daily/weekly promotions and higher odds. You should search for other value-added offers such as accumulators, bet boosters, loyalty programmes🔯, and a range of promos specific to The Championships.
Focus On Value
You do not need to be led by the latest odds, as higher betting odds are only an indication and may have no bearing on the results. It is best to find an advantage by hunting down a value bet.
Stick to Your Limits
🧸Lots of wagers placed simultaneously can end badly for punters at a major tournament like Wimbledon. The first week usually springs surprise results, so while risky, backing an underdog can be highly lucrative. Many operators will offer multiple matches for you to have a flutter, but you should be cautious when overstretching your bets and spending too much on tennis betting markets that are unfamiliar.
Use Livestreaming
Livestreaming from Wimbledon can enhance your betting experience. It is a game-changer for in-play betting, with data and stats from the match being played,💖 as well as the opportunity to size up how players are reacting to the task ahead.
Popular Wimbledon Betting Markets
We have sourced the main tennis markets for Wimbledon 2024 to guide you towards those that suit your interest in placing a stake during the tournament. Many involve individual matches, although there is the Outright Winner market as well.
Check out our informative article on the best tennis betting sites for more top tips and strategies.
Match Betting
With only one player guaranteed victory, Match Betting — also known as Match Result or Moneyline — is a straightforward tennis wager. Pick a matchwinner from the two opponents, but it is best to first check out their head-to-head results, as well as their form on grass. This is the perfect bet for tennis ACCAs.
Best Operator for Wimbledon 2024 Match Betting: Betfred
Set Betting
There are two different formats for set betting, which can enhance your odds if you back an outright winner of a match. There is a betting market on the outcome of the number of sets contested — ladies need to win two sets, while men must claim three to triumph in a Wimbledon match. If you are not keen to place a wager on the final set score, you can have a flutter on a player to win a specific set, which is referred to as a Set Winner bet.
Best Operator for Wimbledon 2024 Set Betting: bet365
Handicap Betting
Tennis, like the majority of sports, offers popular handicap betting markets. This is based on the total number of games that each player wins, with a handicap to give the underdog in the match a head start and advantage. Again, this type of tennis bet is best if you are seeking to increase the odds on a favourite player.
Best Operator for Wimbledon 2024 Handicap Betting: bet365
Outright Winner
Placing a bet on a winner at Wimbledon 2024 will see the odds dramatically alter as The Championships progress. You can back the outright winner for the ladies and/or men, which is an uncomplicated tennis bet. Bear in mind that there are 128 players in the main draw🎐, with odds in the second week considerably shorter than before the tournament starts.
Best Operator for Wimbledon 2024 Betting On The Winner: Ladbrokes
Over/Under (Games or Sets)
The wager for Under/Over total is two-fold. Your bookie will provide a figure, so if you opt for this type of bet, you need to predict either fewer or more games/sets. In this more traditional Wimbledon betting market, it is not necessary to guess the match winner.
Best Operator for Wimbledon 2024 Over/Under Betting: BetVictor
To Reach the Final
🤪 Rather than sticking your neck out by choosing an outright winner or betting on an individual game, you can bet on who will reach the Wimbledon 2024 final. This type of wager will maintain your interest in The Championships, unless you pick a player who loses before the final. The odds are lower, as this each-way betting requires successfully naming a finalist.
Best Operator for Wimbledon 2024 Betting To Reach The Final: Sportingbet
Best Wimbledon Betting Strategies
There are many variables to consider before placing a bet on Wimbledon 2024. Following the exhausting challenge of the clay season, the leading players are only given a three-week window to get used to grass courts before The Championships begin.
At SW19, the grass courts will gradually wear down as the fortnight progresses, which results in the potential for awkward bounces on precious points that can ultimately turn a match.
As the surface suits short rallies, grass favours players with strong serves, flat groundstrokes, an array of net skills, fancy footwork, and the ability to quickly move around the court.
Those who have previously won a Grand Slam will possess the mental endurance and stamina required to grab the glory over a fast and furious fortnight, so these elite players should be strongly considered as future champions because they have the experience and know-how of major tournaments.
🥃Here are some top tips to help you pick out winners for Wimbledon 2024:
Form Matters
Before placing a bet, you should consider player’s recent form on grass, and whether they have arrived at the All England Club sharp on the surface. Although the qualifiers have an advantage from hitting a winning streak, if they are relatively inexperienced, they could run out of steam in the main draw. Contemplate wildcard entries and those who have a strong Wimbledon record for bets on individual matches, while studying the results from pre-Wimbledon grass tournaments.
Staying Power
🏅Betting on the Under/Over of games and sets means you can expect closer battles during the opening week rather than the second week, as players are trying to find their rhythm. Upsets in the ladies’ draw are more likely because they compete over the best-of-three sets, contrary to the men’s draw, where fortitude and resilience are required to make further progress in best-of-five set contests. Exhaustion can set in for some players if they have been pushed into lengthy matches, and tiredness can show during their next match.
Player Reputation
꧂Although many tennis bettors tend to back the more well-known names and seeded players, The Championships can be a great leveller when it comes to emerging players and those returning from injury against the more elite. Those with power, who have a fast serve in their armoury and can take command of the net, are the players who should make an impact. Pick out some players that you fancy a flutter on, then check whether their game is suited to grass or whether they are a baseliner who will not change their tactics for a shot at Wimbledon success.
Grass Court Specialists
With the arduous clay court season having just drawn to a close, players need to swiftly adjust to the rapid speed on the natural surface of grass. Finding grass court specialists that have done well on clay is tricky, but the handful of pre-Wimbledon tournaments played on grass will give an indication on who is picking up the pace. Recent form on grass is more relevant than their clay season resultsꦗ. You should definitely check the previous record of players at Wimbledon, as well as why they were beaten last time.
Wimbledon Live Betting
⛄ Tennis can be unpredictable, but Wimbledon is the ultimate when it comes to seeds being scattered. This is because top players require certain attributes to consistently win on grass. Combine this with courtside fans showing bias towards their favourite players — whether a star name or underdog — and the awkward bounces on court that suffer gradual wear and tear, and you should have some fascinating shocks.
With Wimbledon 2024, you are not limited to pre-game bets, as live betting is available. This offers you the opportunity for in-play betting💝 with a set of tennis markets, such as winning the next point, game, or set.
𒉰 You can view live whether the momentum is swinging towards one specific player, by reading their body language. Remember that a major rule for tennis players is to immediately break back the next game if they have lost their own service game.
Wimbledon Betting Sites With Livestreaming
Take advantage of livestreaming🦄 of Wimbledon 2024 as a registered customer with certain bookies, although you will be required to have funds in your account to watch the action from the All England Club.
꧃ Matches can last from around 40 minutes to hours at The Championships, allowing punters to use in-play tennis betting and gauge the players’ demeanour, form, and any gripes they may have with opponents, the officials, or even the crowd.
๊ With regular breaks every two games (apart from after the first game), punters are offered the opportunity to regularly check on the latest odds.

Epic Wimbledon Face-Offs
Wimbledon 2023, 4th Round
Christopher Eubanks defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas 3-6, 7-6(4), 3-6, 6-4, 6-4
♐ Christopher Eubanks made a massive impact on his Wimbledon main draw debut aged 27. He thundered past seeded players with his remarkably hard-hitting game. Sofia Kenin defeated Coco Gauff 6-4, 4-6, 6-2
♋ Coco Gauff, who won the hearts of Wimbledon fans with her Centre Court debut success over Venus Williams in 2019, was on the receiving end of an opening round upset to a qualifier. American Sofia Kenin, a Grand Slam champion aged 21, had suffered a string of injuries and arrived at SW19 outside the world’s top 100. She saw off her teenage compatriot with some explosive shots on No.1 Court, which disappointed Gauff’s legion of diehard fans.
Wimbledon 2023, Quarter-final
Elina Svitolina defeated Iga Swiatek 7-5, 6-7(5), 6-2
🐟 World no.1 Iga Świątek was stunned by wildcard entrant Elina Svitolina. who was back on court following maternity leave. The Portuguese world no.131 had only scored two main draw victories all year until she dismantled the Russian star, who bounced back to win Wimbledon 2004 the following year.
Wimbledon 2001, Final
Goran Ivanisevic defeated Pat Rafter 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 2-6, 9-7
🦂 Goran Ivanisevic, a crowd favourite at SW19 having reached three finals, was finally a Wimbledon winner as a wildcard entry. He had slipped out of the world’s top 100, but weaved his way past opponents on the grass surface that perfectly suited his game. The Croatian needed just over three hours to fend off the challenge of two-time US Open champion Rafter in a five-set thriller.
Wimbledon 1995, Final
Boris Becker defeated Kevin Curren, 6-3, 6-7, 7-6, 6-4
💯 The indefatigable teenager bounced onto the Wimbledon courts given little chance of triumphing. The experienced players were used to lifting the coveted trophy, but South African Kevin Curren had to play second fiddle to Boris “Boom Boom” Becker’s incredible serves and acrobatic volleys. The 17-year-old became the first unseeded Wimbledon champion in the Open era, and the first-ever German to win at SW19.
Wimbledon 1994, 1st Round
Lori McNeil defeated Steffi Graf 7-5, 7-6
Steffi Graf suffered the ignominy of becoming the first defending Wimbledon ladies champion to be knocked out in their opening match.
The top-seeded German arrived at SW19 as the outright favourite, having won three Wimbledon crowns on the bounce. American veteran Lori McNeil was too hot to handle,✃ with her intricate serve and volley game, but had beaten the German in their previous encounter in 1992.
Wimbledon 1980, Final
Björn Borg defeated John McEnroe 1-6, 7-5, 6-3, 6-7(18), 8-6
There was such a massive contrast between icy Swede Björn Borg and loudmouth John McEnroe that their contests were truly fascinating. It was akin to pantomime with the bandana-sporting American, nicknamed “Superbrat”, portrayed as the baddie against the pin-up hero Bö🤪rg. It was a tense thriller with serve-and-volley specialist McEnroe saving five Championship points to force a decisive fifth set, but he succumbed to the crowd’s favourite.
Wimbledon 1975, Final
Arthur Ashe defeated Jimmy Connors 6-1, 6-1, 5-7, 6-4
🐓 The significance of veteran Arthur Ashe defeating his US compatriot and top seed Jimmy Connors in the final sent shockwaves across the world. Defending champion Connors was expected to roll past the 31-year-old, having not dropped a set to reach the final with his thunderous groundstrokes. Yet, Ashe’s tactics of slowing down the pace of the ball and going for acute angles did the trick to overturn the 22-year-old. Ashe remains the only black player to win the men’s singles title at Wimbledon.
Wimbledon 1970, 4th Round
Roger Taylor defeated Rod Laver 4-6, 6-4, 6-2, 6-1
✤ Rod Laver, unbeaten at Wimbledon in a decade, double-faulted on match point to bow out to unfancied Brit Roger Taylor. The Australian won The Championships in 1961 and 1962, was banned for being a professional from 1963 to 1967, then scooped the honours in 1968 and 1969 to make it 31 successive Wimbledon victories. Yorkshire’s no.16 seed was expected to become more cannon fodder for Laver, but lifted by the vociferous Centre Court crowd, he stunned the world’s best player at the time.

🐲 The titans of tennis will return to London to tussle over The Championships, which started as a garden party tennis tournament and has now become the world’s most famous Grand Slam. It is the perfect arena for players to suddenly become household names.
♚ The men’s draw tends to be predictable because it is fought over the best-of-five sets, meaning that the top players often battle back from the jaws of defeat. The ladies compete over the best-of-three sets, which tends to result in a set of surprises during the famous Wimbledon fortnight.
